Ken moved to Nederland in 2011 and purchased his current house in the district in September of the same year. Luckily, Ken was able to bring his job with the University of Oklahoma here with him. Ken thought his remote opportunity with the University would only last a year but they just couldn't get rid of a good thing!
He started with Nederland fire on the first day of the 2013 Boulder County floods.
Ken and his previous wife welcomed their son Forrest in 2014, who is now a Junior Cadet with Nederland Fire's Youth Membership Program.
